Ben
Holmes Trio
JazzThe Ben Holmes
Trio (featuring Holmes on trumpet, Vinnie Sperrazza on drums
and Dan Loomis on bass) plays original music influenced by
Mr. Holmes' experiences in Jazz, Improvised and Eastern
European music. Peter Margasak of Downbeat magazine
has written that ".. the trio emphasizes melody, and Holmes,
whether employing a plush, ballad style or a hurtling,
rhythmically elaborate fluidity, maintains impressive
composure and a full-bodied tone ... this is jazz through
and through."

Left On Red
Acoustic / Rock / Alternative
Liah and Kelly of LOR are
an incredibly gifted rock duo, who use their songwriting
and music making talents to bring joy into the lives of
their audiences, wherever they might be: on
sickbeds in the hospitals, underground in NYC subways, on
easy chairs in nursing homes or the adoring young peers and
fans in music venues all over the country.

Jason Darling
Classic Rock / 2-step / Shoegaze
During W's eight long and miserable years, except for Jason
and a few others, no one was really putting to music lyrics
about the institutionalization of corruption on Wall Street
and corporate America or its effects on the moral fiber of
everything that is good in us: the capacity to truly love
and to give. It was Jason's prophetic words that resonate
now more clearly than ever.
That Jason, a brilliant songwriter and one of the finest
guitar players of his generation, is not at the top, is a
sad commentary on how screwed up our recording industry has
been over the years.

is a pioneering multi-genre cellist living in New York City.
Mike is the singer, cellist and composer for the Mike Block
Band, which features a unique mixture of original songs
and instrumentals drawing upon multiple genres. In addition

from around the world. He also performs in a duo with
Chinese Pipa virtuoso Yang Wei, and a trio with Suphala
(tabla) and Hadi Eldebeck (Oud). ** While studying at the

as its youngest member, and upon graduation in 2006, joined
Grammy Award winner Mark O’Connor in his Appalachia Waltz
Trio. Mike also plays in Darol Anger's Republic of Strings,
the Absolute Ensemble, Sirius String Quartet, YMusic, and
the New York Arabic Orchestra. ** As a composer, Mike’s
pieces have been performed at the Bremen MusikFest, Tribeca
New Music Festival, and the MATA Festival in addition to his
compositions for the MBB. This season, the Kimmel Center
will premiere a work by Mike with the Absolute Ensemble
through its new music series Fresh Ink. ** Mike also
co-created Kreol, a software that turns your computer into a
musical instrument that you play by typing
www.KreolMusic.com. More detailed info about Mike and his

Ensemble Otodama
Originally founded by Ryoji Yamaguchi, the
group is a collaboration of musicians from various genres.
Guitarist Ryoji Yamaguch, Jazz bassist Erika Sato, and
percussionist Takashi Kaneko perform arrangements of
Japanese traditional folk music as well as original works by
the members. The way the ensemble blend rhythms and harmony
of Jazz, Japanese music, Classical, and other world music is
at times driving and mellow. Ensemble Otodama has played in
Jazz and Blues Festival 2007 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, among
ABBA, Monty Alexander, Kenny Rogers, Earth, Wind & Fire, and
others. Ensemble Otodama`s first CD In Autumn was released
in 2007. Currently based in Tokyo, the group performs
internationally featuring local and guest artists.
